Pressure Vessel Testing — Commercial Benefits
Air compressor receivers must be pressure tested at prescribed intervals to ensure safe and reliable operation.
In South Africa, pressure testing may only be carried out by a registered Approved Inspection Authority (AIA).
Always verify that the AIA is legally certified and accredited before authorising any pressure test.
Testing intervals depend on the application:
Mining industry: Annual pressure testing required.
General industry: Mandatory pressure testing every three years.
